Insurance-Related Complaints Drop During 1st Quarter of '07

Summary


More than $500,000 was recovered on behalf of Connecticut consumers during the first quarter of the year, resulting from insurance-related complaints filed with the state Department of Insurance, the department announced Monday.

During the last quarter, the department's Consumer Affairs Division received roughly 1,400 complaints and inquiries. That was down slightly from 2007, when the division got an average of 1,600 complaints and inquiries per quarter.
