Summary
One-hundred Milford residents have become customers of the Connecticut Clean Energy Options program, with Mayor James L. Richetelli Jr. and state Sen. Gayle Slossberg, D-Milford, filling spots 99 and 100. The roll toward 100 residents signing up for the program began in January when the mayor and Board of Aldermen passed a resolution to use clean energy for 20 percent of the city's electricity by 2010. The reward for signing up 100 residents is a free solar energy system donated to the city by the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund.
"Back when we were talking about signing up 100 people for this program, it seemed kind of like something in the abstract,"said Richetelli. "And now it's something that's tangible."See the full content of this document
