The best two teams in the Shoreline Conference's Small Division will square off Wednesday night. But there will be plenty of deeper implications than just a division title. Cromwell (13-0) plays host in a showdown of unbeatens at 7:30 p.m. in the first of two regular- season meetings. The second is Feb. 25 in New Haven.
"There were five challenges last year we did not answer (in the Shoreline Conference, all losses), and Cromwell happened to be one of them," Hyde coach Steve Jefferson said. "Whenever we play against a better opponent, we are going to get a different type of response from our guys. I'm quite sure they are looking forward to that particular game.
