Hillhouse's Brown has Come Up Big

There is plenty of attention surrounding the return -- likely to happen some time this month -- of Hillhouse junior point guard Andreana Thomas, who hasn't played this season because of a leg injury. But perhaps what's just as noteworthy is the emergence of junior Courtney Brown during the absence of Thomas, a Register All- State selection last season.

Brown, whom Hillhouse coach Catrina Hawley-Stewart calls a "legitimate" 6 feet 2, is averaging 11 points, 14 rebounds and 6 blocks. Those are some eye-catching numbers, especially for a player who is in just her third year playing organized basketball.
