Mayor Craig B. Henrici has a number of goals for the next two years, but it remains to be seen whether he and the new Legislative Council will see eye to eye as they wend their way across the political turf.
On Monday, the first day of his second term, Henrici said he is committed to closing the tire pond on State Street and finding solutions for the contaminated properties in the Newhall Street area. He wants to see a shovel in the ground for the new police station at the old Memorial Town Hall by summer, and wants the former Dadio Farm on Putnam Avenue to be partially sold off for industrial use.
