Summary
The Town Council has agreed to a public hearing on how to spend more than $234,000 in increased state aid. If given to the Board of Education, it would help offset some of the cuts being pondered in the wake of a no-increase budget allocation for 2004-05 that was about $1.7 million short of the Board of Education's initial request. The board has a council-set ceiling of $49.13 million.
The date was not set Tuesday night, as Council Chairman David Orsini said he would like to schedule it for a night when as many council members as possible could attend.See the full content of this document
