Special to the Register An East Haven man pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in New Haven Friday to embezzling more than $1 million while he was vice president of the former Castle Bank and Trust in Middletown.

Robert A. Nixon, 48, of Maynard Road, admitted guilt to one count of theft, embezzlement, or misapplication by a bank officer or employee, and one count of income tax evasion.
