Lyndon Pitter's attorney came out swinging Monday, blasting state education officials and the attorney general's office for last week demanding Pitter's removal as executive director of the Highville Mustard Seed Charter School. John Gesmonde of Hamden said that the state's allegation that Pitter lied on his resume is actually an effect of post-traumatic stress disorder associated with threats on Pitter's life before he left a politically unstable Jamaica in the late 1980s.

Pitter was deposed last Wednesday as part of a state investigation into financial dealings at the school that Pitter founded eight years ago.
