Summary


The year was 1976, the year of the Bicentennial. "Rocky," starring an unknown actor named Sylvester Stallone, won the Oscar for best picture. Walter Cronkite was the most trusted man in America while Katie Couric was barely out of high school. And a peanut farmer from Georgia was elected president of the United States.

It was also the year that GCTV, or Guilford Community Television, had its humble beginnings in a small studio carved out of an equipment closet at the Guilford Free Library.
