Summary
NEW HAVEN -- Robert Kubicza loved playing the slots, without much success. Until one day... "About five years ago, we were at Mohegan Sun and Bob was playing the slot machines," said Kubicza's wife of three years, Patricia. "I had been telling him to play the max on the machine, and he was on the phone with one of his friends, telling him that he never hit on the slots. At that very moment, he pushed the button and the machine hit the jackpot. He didn't realize at first he had won, until I pointed to the progressive amount of money going across the top of the machine. He won $3,000. He was so funny about it."
Kubicza died Sept. 5 at age 62.See the full content of this document
