Future Looks Bright for Mercy, Hillhouse

Summary


Mercy made a surprising run to the Class LL state championship game before falling to Norwich Free Academy. Hillhouse put together an impressive string of wins to capture its second straight Class L title. And both Southern Connecticut Conference powerhouses return devastating one-two punches, making them instant contenders next season.

For the Tigers, it's Sadie Edwards and Amber Bepko. Edwards developed into one of the top point guards in the state this season as a freshman. After playing behind two Register All-State players in Rachel Roberts and Bianca Simmons, Bepko emerged as Mercy's go- to player as a junior, and is capable of scoring in so many ways.
