The 48th annual Freddie Fixer Parade will step off at 1:30 p.m. Sunday from Dixwell Avenue and Morse Street in Hamden with all the usual music, drill teams and motorcycles, but in a twist that may be a departure from the typical family parade, there will also be a dramatic anti-violence message.
