Summary
DERBY -- An exhibit of artwork crafted from the wood of a century-old white oak is drawing interest statewide, and it's currently at the Kellogg Environmental Center. "Art from Connecticut Forests" was launched to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the purchase of Meshomasic State Forest in Portland.
It is Connecticut's first state forest. At the time, the forest consisted of 47 acres. Today, it covers more than 5,000 acres. The white oak is Connecticut's state tree.See the full content of this document
