2 Fire Districts Hold Elections in W. Haven

Summary


Register Staff WEST HAVEN -- Allingtown voters decided to keep a longtime incumbent commissioner on board, and Center District voters added a veteran volunteer firefighter to their commission in recent elections.

In the Center District, Allingtown Volunteer Chief John Carew beat out resident Frederick Brown, whose father helped write the district's Home Rule Ordinance in 1973, for a spot on the commission. The final vote was 364 to 265.
