Summary
Recently, I had the opportunity to attend a couple of healing services with healing from the emotional legacy of slavery as their theme. At both programs, people talked about how the legacy of slavery has affected them and people they know. As I looked around the room at both services, people who've been active in the African- American community throughout Greater New Haven for decades from a political and grass-roots perspective were present.
A few clergy were present and, since they are essential partners in the process of healing and emotional emancipation, I hope more of Greater New Haven's African-American religious leaders will get involved in activities that may take place in the future.See the full content of this document
