President Barack Obama must be kidding, using Warren Buffett as a reason to raise the income tax rate for some. Buffett's overall tax rate of 17 percent is achieved by paying the highest rate of 35 percent on his ordinary income coupled with his enormous income from capital gains, taxed at 15 percent. Buffett's tax payments provide millions of dollars in tax revenue. Raising the income tax rate on millionaires is not going to raise the taxes to put a dent in the deficit.
