EAST HAVEN -- Joan Anderson loved music of all sorts, and got to see some of her favorite singers over the years. "When my mother was in high school, she skipped school one day to see Bobby Darin, who was appearing in New Haven," said her youngest child, Elizabeth Pisano of Seymour. "She absolutely loved him, and although she got caught for skipping, she was glad she got to see him. Over the years, she also saw Neil Diamond, Tony Bennett and Willie Nelson."
