CHESHIRE -- Police are warning of heavier than usual traffic on Route 10 through the center of town Friday. Traffic is expected to be especially heavy at several times between noon and 10 p.m. because of the annual Connecticut Special Olympics torch run coming through town, as well as the Relay for Life event at Cheshire High School.
The torch run will enter town on Route 10 at the Southington line around noon and travel through town to the Hamden line. The runners will be escorted by members of the state police, as well as members of the Cheshire police. Drivers are reminded that there will be periodic lane closures as a result.See the full content of this document
