No matter what happens in Tuesday's elections, the 2005 General Assembly session is going to have a very different look. The Republican governor who dominated the legislative agenda for nine years, John G. Rowland, has disappeared from the scene in disgrace.

His replacement, M. Jodi Rell, is also a Republican. But she is likely to continue her crusade to appear as different as possible from Rowland in as many ways as possible.
