I am offended by Alderman Yusuf Shah's statement that a colleague's attendance at meetings of the Black and Hispanic Caucus of the New Haven Board of Alderman is "an abomination." The dictionary defines abomination as: An action that is vicious or vile; an action that arouses disgust or abhorrence.
I would suggest to Shah that when people are committed to working with neighbors and colleagues of all races and ethnicities to improve conditions in our community, it should be considered a blessing.See the full content of this document
