I was appalled to open the Register on Nov. 27 and see that a photograph of my friends and me had been used with"Club kids," concerning underage drinking. While other images in the article showed visible evidence of underage drinking, ours included nothing of the sort. Not one of us had a bracelet on our wrist, nor did we have fake IDs or alcoholic beverages in our hands. Your photographer did not explain to us what the picture would be used for. I do not appreciate my name and photograph being associated with underage drinking, especially in the newspaper that many of my friends and family read.
The article was clearly biased about teens who go to nightclubs. Contrary to popular belief, not all young adults go downtown to the clubs with the sole intention of drinking illegally. The article did not provide any information about the other side of the club scene.See the full content of this document
