Five months after a group of Edgewood residents took up arms and started a citizen patrol citing dissatisfaction with policing efforts, the group announced it would disarm at the end of this month.

Saying the Edgewood Park Defense Patrol is finally satisfied that the department is headed on the "right path," founder Eliezer Greer Tuesday said the group would continue its patrols in the neighborhood -but without guns.
