More Than $30,000 Donated in 2 Days; Generosity Lifts Amity; Family Gets Travel Funds for Burial in Albania

The solemn mood at Amity Regional High school lifted somewhat Friday as students and community members learned that more than $30,000 had been raised in two days for the families of two students killed in a car wreck this week.

"What a day," said Superintendent of Schools John Brady of the steady influx of donations the school received Friday. "The tremendous outpouring of support really uplifted the spirit in the school. While we are still mourning and it's still difficult for everyone here to deal with, the amazing show of support really, really helped with the healing process."
