Pending state legislation should be rejected that would chip away at the use of generic drugs that keep a damper on one of the rising costs of health care.
The legislation is aimed specifically at drugs for epilepsy. It would limit a pharmacy's ability to fill a prescription with a cheaper generic, rather than a brand name drug, or switch between generic formulations from different manufacturers without the consent of the patient or the patient's physician.See the full content of this document
