Fountains Of Wayne -- "Traffic And Weather (Virgin): Does anyone still question if any band can pump out hummable power pop better than New Jersey's Fountains of Wayne? After three albums of Beatlesesque pop that never fail to leave a melody in your head, the quartet returns with "Traffic And Weather," the group's first disc since its long-awaited commercial radio hit "Stacey's Mom."

Those just familiar with that MTV staple won't be disappointed by the 14-song "Traffic," which does little different than the paradigms set forth on 1996's self-titled debut, 1999's "Utopia" and the previously hinted at "Welcome Interstate Managers," which came out in 2003. Just like "Interstate," this one easily goes from catchy power up to upbeat country rock, all the while making sure the choruses are as bright as possible.
