Curechief Marks Milestone with Fund-Raiser, New Item

CHESHIRE -- To the casual observer, the squares of soft cloth that The CUREchief Foundation began turning out seven years ago next month look like simple scarves. But to the cancer survivors whose heads the cloth is designed to protect, the items are a fabric of hope. And next month, the nonprofit organizations plans to mark the distribution of the 100,000th scarf with a fund-raiser in Meriden.

"Seven is my lucky number," CUREchief founder Sandy Centorino quipped as she announced the Nov. 3 event.
