STRATFORD -- Nearly a year after winning a stunning upset to unseat a former Democratic Councilman-at-large and helping restore the GOP council majority, Town Council Chairman Joseph Crudo, R-At- large, said Tuesday he is likely to make a run to become the town's first mayor in November 2005. "I'm very seriously considering it, and while there are many considerations I have to make, such as whether to end my current career at Sikorsky Aircraft where I have worked for 28 years, I am very much leaning in that direction," said Crudo. "It's really more a question of when to form a committee and announce it officially."
Crudo, 54, a production parts manager at Sikorsky, won an easy victory over Robert Calzone, the former incumbent last November, by more than 800 votes. Calzone, who also is running for mayor, could not be reached for comment Tuesday.See the full content of this document
