The number of coupons available to senior citizens for use at farmers markets has more than doubled to 3,967, up from 1,600 last year, city officials said Monday in a statement. Coupon booklets, worth $15, are issued to seniors ages 62 and older who have a maximum household income of $18,130 for an individual and $24,420 for a family.
They can be used at the city farmers markets at the following locations: City Hall, Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Quinnipiac River Park in Fair Haven, Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Wooster Square, Saturdays from 9 a.m., to 1 p.m.; Edgewood Park, Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.See the full content of this document
