Good news for area NFL football fans may be bad news for football widows. Comcast Cable this week announced the addition of the NFL Network to its digital tier, a service that includes an "on-demand" collection of extended highlights from any of the previous week's NFL games.

The 24-hour network (included in the price of digital service) is on channel 275 on the New Haven system and 265 on the Branford system (formerly AT&T), an official said.
