NEW HAVEN -- The Clifford Beers Clinic will celebrate nearly 100 years of providing mental health services for the Greater New Haven community at its 96th anniversary gala at 6 p.m. Nov. 20 at the Shubert Theater. Highlights of the evening will include entertainment by Emmy award winning comedian Margaret Smith and the premiere of the clinic's video, "The Healing Power of Hope," produced by Emmy award winners Karyl Evans and Diane Smith. There also will be the silent and live auctions, a strolling supper and the presentation of the 2009 Clifford W. Beers Awards.
The 2009 Clifford W. Beers Recognition Award will go to Jimmy Miller, and the Clifford W. Beers "Kids Are Our Business" Service Award to Roxanne J. Coady, R.J. Julia Booksellers, and Read to Grow.See the full content of this document
