NO GENERAL TSO'S CHICKEN. No watching while at Jack's Bar and Grill. No friends joining me on the couch. Yep, I watched this year's Oscars all alone in my apartment. Why, you ask? Well, I covered the Wilco concert at the Shubert first.

So I rushed home from the show, fired up my trusty VCR (who needs DVR?) and got busy on writing this here running diary. By starting this notebook at midnight, it was a long hard journey getting through the show, but I did it. Why? Because I love the Oscars and I love you.

I wouldn't want to disappoint anyone. Plus, if I didn't watch it that Sunday, I would have never actually done it.
