The city Office of Traffic and Parking this week launched "an aggressive sweep of downtown and neighborhoods" to search for vehicles for which the taxes have not been paid and those that have outstanding parking tickets. "People who owe for delinquent parking tickets are advised to pay up immediately," A. Walter Esdaile, acting director of traffic and parking said in a prepared statement. "Nonpayment of parking tickets and taxes has a direct financial impact on our residents, businesses and taxpayers."
