Cheshire's Haas Resigns

Summary


Doug Haas, who led the Cheshire girls' soccer team to two state titles during his six-year tenure, has resigned as the head coach for personal reasons. Haas said Monday he plans to pursue college coaching options.

Haas was named the Register's coach of the year in 2003 and 2005 after Cheshire won Class LL state championships. In November, the Rams earned a draw in the championship match against Simsbury and shared the title.
