Charter Panel Gains 2 New Faces

Summary

SHELTON -- The Board of Aldermen appointed another Charter Revision Commission Thursday, but despite some public outcry to name an entirely new panel, just two new faces were added to the mix. The 10-member commission will include eight of the same members who served on the last commission. The incumbents re-appointed are Democrats Gary Cahill, Michael Davis and Charles Carroll Sr. and Republicans Steve Bellis, Irene Smith, Sue Coyle, Paul DiMauro (the chairman of the last commission) and Joe Konner.

The two new members are former Democratic alderman and past mayoral candidate Robert Lally, and Ann Dougherty, a former alderman, who is unaffiliated.
