Car Jumps Curb, Kills Wallingford Man in E. Haven

Summary


A Wallingford man died Wednesday after he was pinned beneath a car that careened through a Main Street parking lot, jumped a curb and struck him. The driver of the vehicle was injured, as was the driver of a second car that also was hit, police said. While emergency workers helped the injured and investigated, upset onlookers filled the parking lot of 320 Main St., which has a Dunkin' Donuts, as well as Madelyn's Imports, a gift shop and A&L Newsstand.

Ottavio Cuomo, 57, a Dunkin' Donuts employee, died at Yale-New Haven Hospital as a result of the injuries he received, Lt. Jay Falcioni said.
