BRANFORD -- In the last year, Branford High School senior Brittany Amendola has learned what it means to reach out to the community in order to pull off a community-wide event. On Sunday, the fruits of her labor will be realized when more than 200 people participate in "Run for the Ribbons," a 5-kilometer race and 2-mile walk to benefit Y-ME Connecticut, a breast cancer education and advocacy organization in town.
