ANSONIA -- A local funeral home is looking for permission to expand onto city land on Beaver Street, once known as Cook's Pond. Robert Ricciuti of Seymour, funeral director and owner of Spinelli- Malerba-Ricciuti Funeral Home at 62 Beaver St., has offered to purchase the approximately quarter-acre property for $1.

The land is not currently in use and not on the city tax roll.
