President Bush Wednesday sent Connecticut Superior Court Judge Vanessa L. Bryant's nomination to the federal bench to the Senate for consideration, officials said. The White House notified Gov. M. Jodi Rell of Bush's planned recommendation last week, but did not forward the nomination and make an official announcement until Wednesday.
