The editorial "Rallies highlight unguarded borders" asserts that the broad-based national mobilizations of recent weeks merely indicate that the United States has "lost control of its southern border." Such a perspective demonstrates a failure of reporting at every level. You fail to account for the multiracial coalitions of U.S. citizens, civil rights leaders, immigrants, unionists, church leaders and yes, undocumented people, who joined to defend the rights of migrants and working people.
