General Assembly Dem Incumbents Manage to Hold Onto ?Seats?

For the most part, incumbents from both parties kept their seats in local House and Senate races.

Both state Democratic Party Chairwoman Nancy DiNardo and Chris Healy, chairman of the Connecticut Republican Party, said at press time too many races remained up in the air for them to offer a final analysis.

DiNardo did say she was "surprised" by machine votes that were showing Democratic incumbents tumbling in the 2nd, 87th and 103rd House Districts.
