As the warm sunshine dried the Freedom Schooner Amistad's moist deck, resident chef Dani Settle waited patiently for history seekers to come aboard and learn about the famous tall ship. "We just hope more people in New Haven (will visit) to support her because this is her home port. A lot of people don't even know they have a tall ship here," said Settle, a Honolulu native who is also one of the ship's storytellers.
