Snow is already on our minds this week, and then CPTV revisits the mother of all snowstorms in southern New England this weekend in a new TV special. "The Blizzard of '78" (at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday) headlines the ongoing "Disaster Week" on CPTV, which also includes the documentaries "Circus Fire" (repeating at 1 p.m. Sunday), "The Flood of '55" (2 p.m. Sunday) and "When Disaster Struck Connecticut" (at 8 tonight and 3 p.m. Sunday).

This week's huge snow event fizzled, expensively for municipalities, leaving excitable TV news crews to do some verbal tap dancing Wednesday night. WTNH's Bob Wilson even wandered out onto I-95 to perk up his report.
