A proposal to reimburse Board of Aldermen members for a portion of their cellular phone use is sounding a new ring. Dwight Alderwoman Joyce Chen, D-2, has suggested allocating up to $40 per month per alderman for cell phone use. But during the Aldermanic Affairs Committee's review of the proposal, a compromise was reached that offers legislators a choice of cell phone reimbursements or bulk mailings to maintain communication with constituents.
