CHESHIRE -- Absentee ballots for the June 22 pool referendum are available at the town clerk's office, 84 S. Main St. An application must be completed and returned to the town clerk's office in order to receive an absentee ballot.
To qualify, an elector must be unable to appear at the required polling place during all hours of voting for one of the following reasons: active service in the armed forces; absence from the town; illness; religious tenets, which forbid secular activity on the day of the election; duties as an election official at a polling place other than his or her own; and physical disability.See the full content of this document
