Summary
To help travelers take advantage of new federal regulations regarding passports for international travel, AAA and the U.S. Postal Service will sponsor a statewide Passport Day at various AAA locations throughout Connecticut this month. According to the U.S. State Department, after Jan. 8, 2007, all U.S. citizens traveling outside the United States by air or sea must produce a valid U.S. passport to re-enter the country. The new regulations mainly affect those traveling to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
Passport Day will be conducted Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the AAA Connecticut Motor Club locations: 143 Cedar St., Branford; 93 Lake Ave., Danbury; 2276 Whitney Ave., Hamden; 527 Boston Post Road, Orange; 623 Newfield Ave., Stamford; 555 Lordship Blvd., Stratford; 720 Wolcott St., Waterbury; and 20 Saugatuck Ave., Westport.See the full content of this document
