NEW HAVEN -- Police seized more than 100 marijuana plants from the roof, an apartment and a hidden room inside a Dwight Street apartment complex Wednesday, police said. Police estimated the seizure at at least $300,000 worth of pot, and the estimate continued to grow as the day progressed.
The tip came at about 1 p.m. A neighbor observed what appeared to be marijuana growing on the roof of 109 Dwight St. and alerted a police officer. From there, members of the city's narcotics squad arrived and confirmed the observation.
