WEST HAVEN -- State and local agencies responded to a spill that dumped hundreds of gallons of oil onto a street in the Allingtown section, a fire official said. Allingtown Fire Chief Peter Massaro said the spill happened at A Laugeni & Sons painting company at 370 Ardale St. sometime after 11 a.m. when a worker was transferring oil from one truck to another. The leaking truck contained about 2,000 gallons of heating oil, and Massaro estimated that more than 500 gallons spilled onto the groun...
